FILMING TRIAL

Yesterday I said that today we planned to film the 20 seconds that we were advised to add on from our media studies teacher ...

UNFORTUNATELY

Our teacher misplaced the tripod that we were going to use to do the 20 seconds ..

HOWEVER

While we had the time during our media period we decided to do a practice trial using Georgia's iPhone as a guideline to what would work when we actually could shoot it properly.

- We got a feel of what types of shots will work for our 20 second sequence.

- All the cast was there when we needed them.

EBI (EVEN BETTER IF)

- Equipment was available when we needed it (Tripod).

FILMING ADDITION TO FINAL PRODUCT

In my previous post I mentioned that we are adding on an extra 20 seconds to our music video.Our media teacher has advised us that this will give us a chance to get into the top band if we put in various camera angles and an element of lip syncing. 

I plan to draw up a storyboard right after I publish this post and then deliberate what I've done with Georgia in the morning and then tweak bits that need to be changed just before filming.

THE PLAN

LOCATION: BISHOP STOPFORD'S SCHOOL (SIXTH FORM BLOCK)

DURATION OF SHOT: 0:20 seconds

BACK ON TRACK.

As you can see blogging has not been up to scratch like I would have hoped for it to be, but this is all going to change now that Georgia and I have come pass our mental block !!!

                                                                                              

WHAT WAS THE INITIAL PROBLEM ?

As said on previous blog posts, we have finished our media product ...

 WELL .. We thought that we did.

We showed our teacher our 

"Finished product" in one of our lessons on the interactive white board

and she LOVED IT !!!

HOWEVER ..

She said for our own benefit that we should add on an extra 20 seconds with various camera angles and an element of lip syncing in order to get into the top band...

WHY IS THIS A PROBLEM ?

Communications between the male protagonist and the female protagonist (me) aren't very good at this moment in time which is probably why we should have been more careful in casting for the music video.

On a brighter note we have come up with an idea that fits into our narrative as an alternative. 

We have decided to use another male ..

RICHARD POKU

Who will be another target that the promiscuous female will lure into losing their virginity to her..

In the next week I will be drawing up a further story board for our extra 20 seconds that will be added onto our media product. 

THE AFTERMATH OF EDITING

In my previous posts, I gave a summary and brief evaluation of how editing went...

After editing I transferred or THOUGHT that I transferred our media text onto disk so that our media teacher could view our finished music video at school.

 HOWEVER ..

This didn't go as smoothly as I had planned ..

The contents of the disk wasn't compatible to the software on the school

system. 

ON A BRIGHT NOTE !

My media teacher was helpful enough to take the disk to the IT technicians and ask them for advice, and they suggested that instead of publishing the media text onto the disk I just saved the project onto the disk.

WITH THIS IN MIND ..

I went home and published the project onto the disk and everything THANKFULLY worked after I did this.

Feedback from my teacher on our media product is still to be awaited for.
